Orlando Pirates have given an injury update ahead of this weekend’s CAF Confederation Cup first leg game against Raja Casablanca.
Speaking in the virtual press conference ahead of the game, Josef Zinnbauer first confirmed that his goalkeeping dilemmas are all but over, with Richard Ofori and Siyabonga Mpontshane likely being available, and one of them expected to join Wayne Sandilands in the match squad.
The club is also hoping to welcome back Bongani Sam, Happy Jele, Thabang Monare and Thembinkosi Lorch, but they will be 100% sure tomorrow.
“We have not 100% information which player comes back, maybe Happy’s come back, Monare comes back, Lorch comes back, we work on it but waited now a long time for these players and I hope we get tomorrow latest one of these players back,” Zinnbauer said in the pre-match presser.
“Dzvukamanja is out, is sure out, but I hope Sam comes back. Gabba is back now from the injury again and I hope they are all ready and then we have a good choice we can make for starting lineup and for the bench also.”
