Pitso With Emotional Tribute For Thuswa

Pitso Mosimane returned to South Africa following Thulani Thuswa’s passing and paid tribute to the former communications manager of Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.

Thuswa sadly passed away in a car accident on Sunday. He had left Masandawana in 2019 to start his own talent management agency Tyler Masons, helping several players in South Africa.

The 37-year-old was also Mosimane’s representative in South Africa, leaving ‘Jingles’ as well as family, friends and many in the industry shaken following the news of his tragic passing.

Mosimane was one of the speakers at Wednesday’s memorial service but could not continue after a few sentences, with his wife Moira Tlhagale finishing off the emotional tribute to his friend and “brother”.

“I never thought I should pay tribute to ‘Thukzi’, I thought it should be the opposite. But God decided otherwise,” Mosimane’s started his speech.

“Difficult moments. I saw my captain (Hlompo Kekana) struggling (to speak). I don’t know if I have the strength to finish my speech.

“Many planes land every day. It is the one that crashes that makes news. And so began my most important lesson on how the media works, under Thulani Thuswa.”

However, with the wounds of Thuswa’s passing still fresh, Mosimane was unable to continue with his speech and it was instead read out by his wife Moira.

MT Sport Marketing, a company owned by Tlhagane, has since released the full tribute of Mosimane after already streaming the memorial service.

Thuswa leaves behind a young daughter that he loved dearly as well as many mourning family members and friends, in and outside the football fraternity.

iDiski Times would again like to express its sincere condolences to the Thuswa family, his friends and loved ones and the football fraternity at large.
