PSL Make Announcement On Fans’ Return To Stadium
The Premier Soccer League have given an update on the return of fans to stadium for DStv Premiership games.
Fans have not been allowed to watch league games live in the stands since March, when South Africa was hit by the first wave of COVID-19.
However, there was hope that fans would be allowed back into stadiums after 2 000 vaccinated spectators were allowed to watch Bafana Bafana’s 1-0 win over Ethiopia this week.
The PSL have now confirmed they will continue with only allowing 165 persons into stadiums and until further notice PSL COVID protocols continue but want to test a return of supporters for the MTN8 final.
The PSL Executive will meet again in seven days to assess the outcome of a consultation process.
