The PSL relegation/promotion playoffs which were supposed to start on Tuesday were suspended.
The decision was announced by Judge Nyathi on Monday evening, as iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu reports.
On Friday judge Roland Sutherland’s ruling saw Sekhukhune awarded three points and go above Royal AM on the log.
As a consequence, the PSL had confirmed that Sekhukhune gained automatic promotion while Royal AM were heading into the playoffs and scheduled to play Richards Bay on Tuesday.
However, Royal AM took the matter to the Supreme Court, where the case was heard on Monday and Judge Nyathi suspended the playoffs.
While the court has ruled, there has been no word from the PSL as of yet.
