Bradley Ralani has bid farewell to Cape Town City after completing his surprise move to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ralani was confirmed by Masandawana from the Citizens on an 18-month contract recently as he looks for a spectacular career swansong at the league champions.
The 34-year-old winger departed his former team with a record of 16 goals and 27 assists in 118 games over the past four seasons since returning from Europe.
“Today I woke up with a heavy heart, really sad, but then exciting at the same time,” he wrote in his Instagram page.
“Sad that time has flown by so quick and that it came to this moment where I have to say goodbye, goodbye to a club I will forever call home as it’s my first pro club in my native country that took the chance and believed in my talent.
“A club that had little clue of who I was and what I can offer, yet still had it in them to open its doors for me to showcase my God-Given Talent.
“Exciting that today after four years I leave this beautiful football club as a well-known brand on South Africa shores, excited about the memories created be it good or bad it really built me and made me who I am today as a person and footballer, and therefore I want to say thank you.
Ralani has also expressed his gratitude to the Citizens chairman, supporters as well as the technical team for offering him an opportunity to be part of the club through the past few years.
“Thank you to the club chairman, Mr. John Comitis, to the sponsors, all members of the club, coaches and former coaches, the current crop of players and the ones from before,” Ralani added.
“Last but not least, the supporters that has become more than just supporters but family, in good and bad you stood with us and made the journey here even easier.
“Thank you so much for the love shown throughout the years and I will always cherish my time with you guys, it was lovely, one love I am a city.”
