Richards Bay Stay Top With Four Games To Go

Richards Bay remained top of the GladAfrica Championship, following an action-packed weekend of matches.

On Friday Cape United made a move to fifth on the table, as they beat JDR Stars, who dropped down to seventh.

Polokwane City moved to 10th win a 1-0 win over Cape Town Spurs on Saturday. Fourth placed Sekhukhune United missed a chance to close the gap on the leaders, as they drew 0-0 with Uthongathi, who are 10th.

Jomo Cosmos are eighth after they beat bottom-placed Bizana Pondo Chiefs 1-0, while Royal AM held on to the top spot for 24 hours, as they beat 15th-placed Steenberg United 2-1 on Saturday.

Richards Bay’s 3-2 win over AmaTuks on Sunday, saw them return to top spot, with Royal AM dropping down to second, two points behind. AmaTuks are 12th.

TS Sporting came from two goals down to beat Free State Stars 4-3 and move to third spot. Free State Stars are sixth.

Finally Pretoria Callies and Cape Town All Stars drew 0-0. Callies are ninth, while All Stars moved into 13th place, ahead of Spurs on goal difference.
