Orlando Pirates has confirmed the passing of South African legend Stanley ‘Screamer’ Tshabalala.
Tshabalala, born in 1949, was a legend on and off the pitch. A founding member of Kaizer Chiefs, the Orlando-East-born player earned his nickname during his playing days.
He would move on to Mamelodi Sundowns, and that is where he first became successful as a coach. He would go on to coach the national team when South Africa was readmitted into international football.
He spent the last two decades at Pirates working in various capacities.
iDiski Times sends condolences to family, friends, and football fraternity at large.
