Saoura & Pirates Confirmed Starting XIs

Orlando Pirates have named their starting line-up for this evening’s CAF Confederation Cup clash against Algerian side JS Saoura.

The two sides meet during match day one in the group stages, with Pirates having won the first game played at Orlando Stadium with a 2-0 score line.

Pirates are currently on nine points in Group B after four games, while Saoura are on seven points.

Libyan side Al-Ittihad Tripoli, moved into top position earlier today, and are on ten points, after scoring a stoppage-time winner in a 3-2 home victory against bottom-of-the-group Royal Leopard, who are yet to pick up a point.

A victory or draw tonight would guarantee Pirates qualification for the quarter finals, however a loss would mean they would need to get a victory when they face Al-Ittihad in their final group game in the first week of April.

The Sea Robbers have set their target on success in this competition, following their exit from the Nedbank Cup and with them almost certainly out of the DStv Premiership title race.

Here’s how they line-up:

JS Saoura XI: Saidi, Riyane, Khelif, Mebarki, Khelifi, Saad, Hamidi, Bellatrache, Lahameri, Saadi, Ouis

Subs: Mouyet, Daoud, Boutouala, Hammia, Mellel, Benyazli, Kaidi, Allaoui, Cheikh

Orlando Pirates XI: Ofori, Jele, Ndah, Nyauza, Mako, Shandu, Mabaso, Mosele, Dlamini, Hotto, Peprah

Subs: Mpontshane, Dzvukamanja, Lepasa, Maela, Sam, Makaringe, Hlatshwayo, Makgaka, Ndlovu
