Seema Happy With Lidoda Duvha’s Spirit and Fight

Lehlohonolo Seema says the win against AmaZulu in the Nedbank Cup was for the whole Black Leopards family, but they now need to re-focus as they face a six-pointer in the DStv Premiership.

Leopards beat AmaZulu 1-0 in the last 16, to set up a quarter final against TTM, but they now have to re-focus on today’s game against Maritzburg United.

Leopards are 15th, 3 points ahead of bottom-placed Maritzburg, and Seema says the cup win was a good foundation for them to build on.

“Yeah, I think for the Black Leopards family, for the Black Leopards supporters, it’s something that they have been waiting for,” Seema said after their win against AmaZulu.

“These guys you could see, they never put their heads down even when the results were not coming, we kept on going to training and knuckling and working very hard, and what a game that we had. It was a difficult game and this is typically a cup game and AmaZulu has been on the ascent, and has been winning getting results, if they don’t get the win, they get a draw.”

“But I think we have given a spirited performance, which is a preparing us for the next six pointer again against Maritzburg away. So the kind of spirit, the kind of fight, the resilience and determination that the guys shown today, something that you can start on and got a feel of a clean sheet, we have been conceding each and every game and today we managed to get a cleansheet against a very strong attacking team like AmaZulu, and I’m happy for the players.”

“We just need to manage them now and go big Tuesday. We have a big game again to play so yeah, I’m happy for the team.”
