Seema – I Think We Will Take It
Lehlohonolo Seema says he will take the result after his Golden Arrows team drew 1-1 with Mamelodi Sundowns in their MTN8 semi-final first leg on Saturday.
Arrows took an early lead when Nqobeko Dlamini scored, but it was a game dominated by Sundowns, who tried everything to get back into the game. But just when it looked like a stubborn Arrows would hold out, Pawol Safranko grabbed an equaliser.
Seema says he was pleased with how team kept their shape and stuck to the tactics.
“Ja, 1-1 wth Sundowns, I think we will take it, considering that it was against a very spirited Sundowns,” Seema said after the match.
“And I’m happy with the one thing that, as Golden Arrows, we kept shape. And you could see when they started, they were pressing us very high. But we managed to get out from there. And we got a goal. And we could have been two nil up during first half, we couldn’t do it, we couldn’t convert.
“Okay. And then we played, one thing that I’m happy olf is tactically today we were sound, and Sundowns tried to press us high, we managed to come out, they tried to play in the middle, they couldn’t because we were compact. Now they resorted to even the crosses in the last minute of the game.
“But you can see, that shows you the quality that they have, they can change the way they want to attack anytime, you could see the subs that they did towards the end.
“So I’m happy with the way the players have played, and I’m happy that we’ve got a draw, it’s gonna be a difficult one, but it’s gonna be after a month, we’ll have some few games behind us and then we’ll go and rectify some things.”
