Sibiya – It’s A Historic Game

Black Eagles coach Kabelo Sibiya says that their Nedbank Cup game against fellow ABC Motsepe league side Summerfield Dynamos is going to be a tough and historic game.

The North West team will take on Clinton Larsen Summerfield’s side on Sunday, with a place in the last eight up for grabs for one of the two third-tier sides.

Sibiya, the former TS Sporting coach, says they know it will be a challenge against Dynamos, who have already secured the KwaZulu-Natal ABC title.

But his Black Eagles team are also en route to winning their division, and he says they are confident they can get a result.

“Ja, it’s going to be a very, very difficult match,” Sibiya said in the pre-match press conference.

“We have seen Summerfield Dynamos, who have made huge progress in the cup by eliminating a GladAfrica team, Uthongathi.

“Which I believe it’s a good motivation for them. We are aware that they are the champions of their province. So it’s going to be a very difficult match for us, but equally, so it will be a difficult match for them.

“We have made our progress also as a club, we qualified for last 16 by not getting any favours from Sivutsa and had to fight to go through. And we are currently the leaders of our stream.

“So ja, it’s going to be a good game. But we believe that with the type of players that have, the support that we’re getting from our management, it should be a game that we can win.

“We are planning well. We know their weakness and strength. Yes, the mood is good for the players, they are ready for the match. They have been pushing. Everyone wants to be part of this game.

“It’s a historic game, the first live game of Black Eagles. So all the players they’re looking forward to this match.”
