‘Stellenbosch Is A Tough Nut To Crack’

Chippa United coach Lehlohonolo Seema says that he expects Stellenbosch to come out ‘guns blazing’ when the two teams meet on Saturday at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch.

But Seema says they are well prepared and are going into this game with confidence, having beaten Maritzburg United convincingly in their last DSTV Premiership game.

Chippa are currently 8th on the league table, while Stellenbosch are two points behind in 12th spot.

However the former Bloemfontein Celtic coach says that there are a few injury concerns in the squad, but he is hoping that all will be okay by the weekend.

“it’s good that the PSL fixtures are back again this week and we are up against Stellenbosch in their backyard, and it’s going to be a very tough game, we know that Stellenbosch is a tough nut to crack, and yah, we are up for it,” Seema said ahead of the game.

“We are hoping that the injuries, or the knocks that we have, they’ll be sorted out by then, but we will wait for the guidelines from our medical team. We’ve got a few knocks, and the concerns of some other players, but we will see at the end of the week, how far we are and how many players we have.”

“Stellenbosch is going to come out with their guns blazing, especially that they are playing at home, it’s always important to get maximum points, especially playing at home. So we go there knowing exactly what to expect, and we’ll never be naive and shy away, we’ll face them head on.”
