Stellenbosch FC have secured Nigeria youth international Ibraheem Jabaar on a new long-term contract in a bid to ward off interest from potential suitors.
Jabaar, 19, has been tipped for a huge future in the game after starring for Nigeria U17s at the 2019 FIFA World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations’s tournaments.
Stellies managed to secure his services from Olisa, a local club in his homeland and he’s since slotted seamlessly into life in the DStv Premiership, showcasing his natural ability in central midfield.
Confident with the technical ability that makes him seem as if he’s got more time on the ball than others, interest has naturally arisen in his talents and Sundowns are said to have enquired about his services.
While the enquiry never went into any serious negotiations, iDiski Times understands that player is in favour of developing further at Stellies if a move to Europe doesn’t materialise in the coming months.
Jabaar has made 14 starts under head coach Steve Barker this season, registering two assists thus far.
