Swallows & TTM Draw, Arrows Down Leopards

Golden Arrows beat Black Leopards, while Swallows and TTM drew in Sunday’s DStv Premiership games.

Swallows 1-1 Tshakhuma

Swallows and TTM drew 1-1 after a late equaliser from the visitors at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Virgil Vries had to be alert around the 17th minute, as he denied Rhulani Manzini twice in thirty seconds.

Zepheniah Mbokoma put Swallows in the lead in the 31st minute as he tapped in after Washington Arubi had saved Kamohelo Mahlatsi’s initial effort.

Just before halftime Farai Madhanaga unleashed an effort, and while it beat Vries, the ball struck the crossbar and went over.

Five minutes into the second half Vries was forced into a save from a Celimpilo Ngema shot from just outside the area.

In the 53rd minute Ruzaigh Gamildien went close for Swallows, but he was denied by Arubi, who pulled off a good save.

The woodwork saved Swallows and Njabulo Ngcobo’s blushes in the 71st minute, as the defender’s attempted clearing header hit the upright and bounced clear.

TTM were awarded a penalty in stoppage time as Phetso Maphanga committed a foul on Alfred Ndengane. Ndegane stepped up to take the spot kick, and he made no mistake.

Black Leopards 1-3 Golden Arrows

Arrows came back from a goal down to beat Leopards 3-1 at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

The home team took an early lead when in just the fifth minute, Lifa Hlongwane put Leopards into the lead.

But in the 33rd minute Arrows were level, as Knox Mutizwa received a ball from Velemseni Ndwandwe, beat his defender and King Ndlovu with the shot.

Arrows completed a turnaround in the 78th minute when Seth Parusnath put them in the lead, the assistant by Siboniso Conco.

Ndwandwe wrapped up the result in stoppage time for Arrows, as the visitors walked away 3-1 victors. Assist by Siphamandla Sabelo.
