Percy Tau has opened up about finally moving to Brighton & Hove Albion in his first interview with the club.
The South African international officially joined the team this week, having originally signed for the club two and a half years ago.
After spending all that time on loan in Belgium, Tau has finally joined up with Seagulls and says he is confident that he will make the most of his chance.
“I’m very confident, I’m very confident,” Tau told AlbionTV.
“I believe in my talent, I believe in the team around me, so I think with time, and understanding each and every one, accommodating myself into the team, that will help me be better.”
Unfortunately it is more than likely that he will make his debut for the club with games played behind-closed-doors, and Tau said it’s unfortunate that the fans won’t be there.
“It is disappointing that they (the fans) might not be there, but we understand that there are regulations and things that are actually affecting the new life that we are in right now, and they are quite important, we have to be followed by that. So in time I would love to see the fans back, but at the moment it’s also important for them to be safe.”
