SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has sympathised with Thalente Mbatha after he received a red card in their match against Sekhukhune United.
The 21-year-old was sent off during a late 1-0 defeat to Babina Noko at Lucas Moripe Stadium, after only he played 15 minutes in his senior team debut.
Tembo, though, believes that the young man will bounce back in their next games, before praising him despite lasting only for a few minutes.
“Yeah, Most definitely, but I think I feel sorry for him because I don’t know how he’s going to react after this,” Tembo said after the match.
“Your first game and then you hardly play ten minutes, you get sent off but, I hope that he is going to come back stronger because he’s part of development, he is a youngster.
“I was looking forward to seeing him because he has got the qualities that we need there are some areas, we got into good areas because he is one player who is very good in shootings, he has got very good powerful shot.
“We got to those situations that also, Jesse (Donn) I thought he could shoot and pass, that’s where we needed Thalente.”
Matsatsantsa will have to do it without Mbatha when they visit Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday at Danie Craven Stadium at 17:00.
