Thobejane – Supporters Should Wait And See

Having returned as Baroka head coach, Kgoloko Thobejane aims to turn things around at the club, promising to bring some positive results.

Thobejane had been serving as the DDC coach at the club, before he swapped places with former coach Matsimela Thoka, to become the senior side coach.

After taking charge, he has been in charge for one game so far, where the Limpopo outfit suffered a 3-2 loss to Golden Arrows in a recent match at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Thobejane believes that the luck was not on Thoka’s side, but he hopes to keep the supporters happy during his stint.

“Well, it is not that the previous coach was incapable. You know how football can be, you can do everything, talk to your players and train them and still not get results,” he told iDiski Times in the latest edition of the newspaper.

“Things didn’t go his way and results were not coming, so what we need to do now is get results. Coaches differ in their approach,, so we are coming in with our methods and systems that, we hope, will bring results. The kind of players we have here can adapt to any system.

“South Africans know that if they love football, I love them. They should just wait to see what I have to offer this time around.

“I don’t like disappointing South African fans, and the quotes will just come, they will just come. It’s not like I sit down and plan them they come because of match situations (Laughs).”

Thobejane and his troops will face Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium on Thursday in the DStv Premiership clash.
