Thobejane – We Did Everything, This One Is Real Death

Baroka FC coach Kgoloko Thobejane was left frustrated after his side’s loss against Stellenbosch in the DStv Premiership clash in Cape Town.

The Baroka coach saw his side go down by a goal to nil after a late strike from Stellies left back Kganyane Letsoenyo at the Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday.

Thobejane says it was very disappointing not to pick up maximum points against Stellies after a stunning display from his troops.

This is the sixth game without a win after Thobejane was promoted to the senior team, having lost four and drawn two, and they wil stilll face Royal AM before the festive break.

“This one is real, real, real death,” said the sad Thobejane after the match.

“I don’t know, really I don’t know what can I say, if this is football, I don’t know? This is sixth game we have been creating chances, today was worse, worse.

“People playing football like this, no, we did everything, even in dressing room, we have shown them that if we can’t score, they will get a chance. We can’t just say let’s keep on missing, this is football, they will get a chance.

“They will get a chance, and they got it, and now really I don’t know. To me, what can I say? It’s the players that we have.

“We did everything right except scoring, There’s no way we play football not to score. Football is about play for target, what is the target? The goal-post, put the ball in the back of the net, means you are a team.

“But if you go for a game, and you get zero, zero, zero every time. We never scored first, the goals that we score, we score after the opponents scored. So to me, we still at one game to go for festive season.

“We did everything in our power, trying to support the players what they need, but really I don’t know. Football it’s about intensity and precision, if we have those players who can miss all those things I don’t know.

“We have players, we are saying they can in the game of football, official game, in training they can show you they’ve got what it takes, but officially I don’t know.”

Thobejane had also insisted that even though they go back to drawing board, his players are still going to miss clear chances, which he says he doesn’t understand.

“We will go back to the drawing board, but come in an official game, this is what is going to happen, is going to happen,” Thobejane insisted.

“Nearly five or six of the player is not like it was one player who was missing chances. Five to six have got those chances, if one misses why can’t others commit one?

“If we had scored one and at least it’s better, but zero with that emblem chance enough to create in a clear-cut, where just you have to tape in. Even the last one from Makgopa, he should have, I mean everything is going wide, wide, wide.”
