Eric Tinkler is targeting an away win in their DSTV Premiership match against Black Leopards this weekend.
The Team of Choice take on Lidoda Duvha at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“It’s a tough away fixture but we are looking to get back to winning ways,” Tinkler was quoted as saying on the club’s social medial platforms.
Both teams have lost all three of their opening league fixtures, and find themselves at the bottom of the table, with Maritzburg just ahead on goal difference.
It has been a disappointing start of the season for Tinkler, but the former Orlando Pirates, Cape Town City and SuperSport United coach is looking for a morale-boosting away win on Saturday.
“Getting a positive result there will definitely boost the morale and the confidence of the team.”
While Maritzburg will be missing the suspended pair of Riyaaz Ismail and Sibusiso Hlubi, Tinkler says he is happy with the depth in his squad.
“Good thing is we have more players available which makes the team selection a lot harder but at the same time gives us more depth.”
