Top Three Unchanged In Women’s League

The top three remained unchanged after round 13 of the Hollywoodbets Super League.

Mamelodi Sundowns remained at the summit with 34 points from 12 matches after defeating Ma Indies Ladies 3-0 in Pretoria, while the Limpopo side are eighth with 14 points from 13 games.

University of Western Cape (UWC) were 2-1 winners over Bloemfontein Celtic and maintained second spot on the log with 28 points from 13 games and Siwelele are placed sixth with 19 points also from 12 matches.

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT)’s narrow 1-0 victory over Durban Ladies made sure they maintained third place on the log with 27 points from 13 encounters. Their KwaZulu Natal opponents are in ninth position with 13 points from the same number of games. 

Richmond United’s bad run continued as they were humbled 5-1 by JVW Girls in De Aar to slip to 11th place with 11 points while the rookies are fourth with 26 points both from 13 games.

Thunderbirds Ladies continued their good form as they beat Golden Ladies 1-0, the result saw the Eastern Cape side in seventh place with 18 points from 13 games while Golden Ladies remain at the bottom of the table with six points also from 13 matches.

First Touch Academy won 2-1 against Tsunami Queens in Harrismith to sit in fifth spot with 25 points from 12 matches. Tsunami are second from bottom with just seven points.

University of Johannesburg (UJ) lost 2-0 to Coal City Wizards in Soweto. UJ are third from bottom with nine points, while Wizards are 10th tied on 13 points with Durban Ladies.
