iDiski TV analyst Benedict Vilakazi has come hard on Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma for how he conceded against Orbit College on Tuesday.
Bvuma, 30, who spent the majority of the first round of the season on the bench, has started Chiefs’ last five games in the absence of the injured Brandon Petersen.
The team scored six goals in that period while Bvuma has conceded five goals while keeping two clean sheets in those games.
One of the goals conceded was a howler against Mswenko Bous in Gqeberha. The newbies had won a set-piece and Mbulelo Wagaba headed it past Bvuma a ball that looked like should have been saved by the keeper.
However, Amakhosi responded with three goals and sealed victory to move into third spot in the league to save Bvuma blushes.
‘Tso’ was critical saying he failed to understand how Bvuma hasn’t mastered the basics of his position.
“They [Orbit] got a set-piece well done good goal with the header but Bvuma, no you can’t,” said Tso on iDiski TV.
“No, no, no at this level you can’t, in that pole. Maybe if that boy headed far post, then I’d understand, but no ways. And you could see how he tried to handle the ball it tells you but Bvuma.
“Sometimes you end up questioning some basic things from the keeper. It’s a basic thing, put your body there next to the pole, let the ball hit you in the face if it has to. But there is no way that ball can pass you.”
