iDiski TV analyst Benedict Vilakazi says he has spoken to Orlando Pirates playmaker Sipho Mbule and encouraged him to focus on the good because he is a rare talent.
Mbule is one of the new Pirates signings this season having joined as a free agent after being released by former side Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mbule’s career has been marred by alleged disciplinary issues which is was reported to be the reason for his loan deal to be terminated at Sekhukhune United and his ultimate release from Sundowns.
He has since played three matches for the Buccaneers across all competitions including the league win over Stellenbosch on Wednesday and ‘Tso’ says he felt duty bound to try and protect this special talent and encouraged Mbule to focus on his work.
“Mbule came into the game, and the game didn’t drop,” said Tso on iDiski TV.
“I’m one person who likes nice things. You know when I see a player that is good, he is always going to be close to my heart because I love good players.
“I had an opportunity to talk to him. I spoke to him, tried to encourage him, to make sure that he tries to not think about off-the-field things and try to focus on his career because he’s one of the players that is so special.
“It’s so difficult to find a player like him and when you’ve got it, as a nation we need to try and protect that talent because it takes us years to get players like Mbule, like [Relebohile] Mofokeng and Tito [Patrick Maswnganyi].
“I spoke to him and I’m so happy to see him displaying his skills in that midfield.”
