Orlando Pirates legend Tso Vilakazi believes that Lebogang Manyama’s club form has not warranted a spot in the national team.
Vilakazi believes that if the opposition in the group had been stronger, he feels that South Africa would struggle to progress, despite a 2-0 win over Sao Tome on Friday night.
Talking on iDiskiTV he sadi: “Manyama is not performing for his club, but you bring him to the national team. Why are you bringing him to the national team?
“That shows poor planning. If there was another strong team with Ghana in this group, we would not qualify, I am sure about that.
“It’s unclear if we have a proper system of playing and also, the players we are playing are being chopped and changed. We need consistency in selection as well.”
