TTM Tame Leopards & Book Nedbank Semi Spot

Tshakhuma joined Chippa United and Pretoria Callies in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup after winning their last eight match 2-0 against Black Leopards on Sunday.

Black Leopards 0-2 Tshakhuma

It was TTM who came out victorious against Black Leopards as they won 2-0 at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday evening.

While TTM’s ‘coach-incumbent’ Dylan Kerr remained in the stands, Leopards ‘Technical Manager’ Kosta Papic was finally on the bench for the club.

It was TTM who took the early initiative in the Limpopo derby, but the best early chance fell to Leopards’ Nkosinathi Ononogbu, who forced a good save out of Washington Arubi in the 22nd minute.

King Ndlovu was called into action in the 34th minute, making a good save to deny Lerato Lamola.

Phillip Ndlondlo though was not be denied in the 38th minute, and the diminutive midfielder put TTM into the lead with a good individual effort.

Arubi made another save in the 44th minute to deny Edwin Gyimah, as Tshakhuma went into the halftime break with the one goal lead.

Mogakolodi Ngele came close to doubling the lead in the first minute of the second half, but his attempt struck the crossbar.

Lidoda Duvha began to increase the pressure as they looked for an equaliser, but TTM were not making it easy for the 2011 finalists.

TTM were awarded a penalty in the 81st minute after Gyimah mis-timed his tackle and brought down Lamola.

Alfred Ndengane took the spot kick and sent Ndlovu the wrong way to double the lead, and confirm TTM’s progress into the semi-finals.
