Following their 2-0 win over TTM, Stellenbosch defender Marc Van Heerden says they need to take confidence from that performance as they face Black Leopards on Friday.
Their mid-week victory has lifted Stellenbosch to seventh on the DSTV Premiership table, and Van Heerden says that while they don’t have much time between games, if they have same belief, they can come away victorious.
The left back was on the scoresheet against TTM, his second goal in consecutive games, having scored against Maritzburg United in the last game of 2020.
“It’s a quick turnaround, Friday against Black Leopards, I think we need to take confidence out of this performance,” the 32 year old told Stellenbosch media.
“I think we need to take that same belief as we did coming into this one, which is that we can beat anyone on our day, and continue to carry that belief game-by-game.”
