Vilakazi Anticipating A ‘Very, Very Tough Game’ Against Pirates

Sibusiso Vilakazi says Mamelodi Sundowns are looking forward to facing Orlando Pirates this evening, and they’re expecting a tough clash against the Buccaneers.

The DStv Premiership leaders host third placed Pirates at Loftus Stadium on Friday evening. While there are only two places separating the teams, there is a huge gap in points, as Sundowns are 16 points ahead of Pirates.

Vilakazi says Pirates will have been disappointed to have not picked up full points in their 1-1 draw with Swallows, and will be looking to improve against the champions.

“We expect a very, very tough game, anticipating a very, very tough game,” Vilakazi told the club’s media department.

“Of course, they’ll want to improve on their performance that they played against Moroka Swallows, which they felt they should have had maximum points after going ahead. And then finding themselves sharing the spoils with Moroka Swallows, so of course, with that theyll want to improve.

“They want to step it up a bit and try to get maximum points when they come to play us at home. Which I think with the game that they’ve played, they’ve been good, they’ve been good, I think.

“They’ve had wins, quite a few stumbling blocks, whereby they had draws, I think two draws and one win with the recent form.

“So it’s a side that has momentum, and, of course, we’re looking forward to playing them at home.”
