Voting has now opened for fans for the recently launched DStv Compact Cup, which is set to take place in January next year.
The competition which will feature four ‘invitational’ sides, made up from different DStv Premiership sides decided by the fans was launched by PSL Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza last week.
“Through a safe and secure voting mechanic, fans can now simply dial *120*830# or visit https://supersport.com/dstvcompactcup to assemble an evenly balanced squad of 26 players which must consist of at least eight defenders, eight midfielders, four strikers, two goalkeepers as well as four DStv Diski Challenge players,” a statement from the PSL read.
“The DStv Compact Cup, themed as the viewers’ choice for its unique offering that enables fans an exclusive platform to put to test their tactical acumen in assembling formidable squads from an array of talent available in all 16 member clubs of the PSL, is a first of its kind.
“In addition to giving fans a voice, DStv will make one lucky DStv Compact subscribing voter an instant millionaire through a lucky draw that will be conducted after the tournament.”
“Voting officially closes on 3 January 2022 which will be followed by the official squad announcements on 5 January 2022 at a special ceremony where a draw will also be conducted to determine the four head coaches and assistants for each team.”
