Orlando Pirates Head Coach Josef Zinnbauer says their opponents in Thursday’s Nedbank Cup last eight game, Mamelodi Sundowns, is the best team in the DStv Premiership at the moment, and also one of the best in the CAF Champions League.
The German coach know it will be a tough game, but sees it as a good experience for his team.
He says they want to reach Sunday’s semi-final, where the winner of Thursday’s game will host TTM in the last four.
“Ja, it’s a big game for us you know we have an opponent that’s the best in the league in the moment, one of the best in the Champions League also,” Zinnbauer said in the pre-match press conference.
“But it’s a good experience for us, for our players, against such an opponent.”
“Now we have to wait a little bit for what’s happened in terms of recovery, what’s happened in terms of injured players, which players comes back for the game.”
“They’re looking forward what we we have to do, and then I hope we find the right 11 players. They want go to the next round, to the semi final and ja, that’s the direction what we will go now this week.”
