Orlando Pirates begin their CAF Confederation Cup campaign in Angola this week, and Josef Zinnbauer is looking forward to the challenge.
Confidence at the club is high after their MTN8 triumph, and Pirates now head to Angola to take on Sagrada Esperanca in the first round match in the CAF Confederation Cup tomorrow.
While Christmas is around the corner, Zinnbauer says they won’t be taking it easy, and while information about Esperanca is scarce, he is confident heading into the clash.
“I’m happy we can go to now CAF now, yes, it’s Christmas time, but we don’t have a gift for our opponent,” Zinnbauer said to Pirates media.
“We have to fight for points, and Esperanca have a good team, a strong team, they play very well defending, it’s very good and also in the offence they have good players.”
“And we don’t have 100% the information of what they’ve been doing in the last days. Maybe they sign new players?”
“We need full concentration for this game.”
