Back-To-Back Wins For Nyatama, Baroka Drawning

Upington City moved to third place following back-to-back wins for new coach Musa Nyatama, while Baroka FC remains rooted to the bottom.

The Motsepe Foundation Championship produced 17 goals between Tuesday and Wednesday’s matches, with Pretoria University the biggest winners after hammering Leicesterford City 5-0. Thabo Nkwana scored a brace, while Matome Rangata, Bantu Chingi and Thando Buthelezi were also on the scoresheet. Meanwhile, struggling Leicesterford conceded nine goals in their last two matches.

Nyatama continues with his great start at Upington City after beating Baroka FC by 3-0. Lesedi Motha, Rowan Visagie and Willie Nel scored the goals for Bafuna Ba Gucci. Bakgakga on the other hand remain bottom of the league table and have gone seven matches without a win, losing five in a row.

Milford FC’s unbeaten run at home came to an end after suffering a defeat against Kruger United. Khethu Ndlovu scored the only goal of the match.

A late Mwape Musonda goal for Black Leopards earned them a point against Midlands Wanderers FC, with Eugene Nxele scoring for Wanderers in the first half but Musonda’s 90th minute goal denied them maximum points.
