Former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Mark Anderson’s son Marc is back in South Africa’s professional football set-up after signing with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars.
iDiski Times can confirm that the 26-year-old signed a one-year deal with a further one-year option to help the Mpumalanga-based outfit gain promotion to the Betway Premiership.
Casric finished seventh position in 2024/25 with 43 points, a poor showing compared to their first campaign, a season prior where they qualified for the promotional playoffs.
Young Anderson has previously been on the books of AmaZulu then Cape Town City where he played three matches for the first team between 2017 and 2022 while playing mostly for the development side.
This was before joining the now defunct Cape Town All Stars on loan. The keeper was also reported to have trialled with Moroka Swallows earlier this year.
Anderson Sr won the league with Mamelodi Sundowns during his playing days, and also turned out for the likes of Pretoria Callies and Arcadia Shepherds, amongst others.
