Cape Town City are in negotiations with striker Simon van Duivenbooden to terminate his contract just six months after joining the side.
Duivenbooden joined the Citizens at the beginning of the current season with a huge profile. The 23-year-old spent most of his career in Netherlands specifically playing for PSV U19 and Vitesse U21 before he got promoted to play for Vitesse’s senior team.
Following lack of game time for Duivenbooden, iDiski Times understands that there was a meeting between CTC and Duivenbooden as they want to agree on terminating his contract.
A close source also revealed that Duivenbooden already have suitors with Sekhukhune United ready to pounce.
Babina Noko are believed to be long-time admires of the towering striker with head coach Eric Tinkler said to be willing to add him to his arsenal as he can suit his style of play. Should he join Babina Noko, it will be on a free transfer.
The former Vitesse striker has played less than five games this season without scoring a goal for the Mother City outfit with Jody Ah Shene and Therlo Moosa the two preferred strikers that are starting for CTC and both have been scoring goals.
