Durban City End 2024 On Top Of MFC

Durban City will end 2024 on top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, after an away win in the KwaZulu-Natal derby against Milford.

City beat Milford 2-1 on Saturday to ensure they end the calendar year in first place, having only moved top of the table a week ago.

On Friday Baroka won a Limpopo derby against Black Leopards, as Joel Masutha’s team ran out 4-2 winners. Hungry Lions and Upington City shared the spoils in the Northern Cape derby, drawing 1-1.

Cape Town Spurs’ hapless season continued as they lost 2-1 away to Pretoria Callies, as Ernst Middendorp’s team hit double figures in games without a win.

On Saturday, Highbury came from a goal down to win 2-1 away at Venda Football Club, while it ended 2-2 between Casric Stars and Kruger United

On Sunday,  JDR Stars moved to within two points of Durban City, as they played to a goalless draw away against Orbit College, while AmaTuks beat bottom-placed Leruma United 1-0.
