Log leaders Magesi are now two points ahead of AmaTuks after midweek Motsepe Foundation Championship results, with the race for third heating up.
Magesi drew 2-2 with Hungry Lions, but AmaTuks missed an opportunity to overtake them when they lost 2-0 to Maritzburg.
That saw the Team of Choice jump up to sixth and there are now six teams separated by just two points chasing the top pair.
JDR Stars are up to third after they beat Black Leopards, while despite losing, Orbit College remain fourth. Baroka drew with La Masia, and remain fifth.
Marumo Gallants remain bottom, as they drew 1-1 with 14th-placed Baroka, while Platinum City Rovers remain in the other relegation spot after their draw with Upington City
