Magesi Stay Top As Playoffs Race Heats Up

Despite suffering a loss to Maritzburg United, Magesi remains top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, maintaining a four-point lead over AmaTuks.

Clinton Larsen’s team lost 2-0 at home, a result that helps the Team of Choice’s cause as they look to earn a playoff spot.

Magesi sits on 49 points, four ahead of AmaTuks, who missed a chance to make that gap smaller, as they played to a goalless draw against Venda Football Club.

JDR Stars moved into third position after they beat fellow playoff-chasers Casric Stars 1-0 on Sunday, while Marumo Gallants moved out of the relegation spots as they beat bottom-placed Platinum City Rovers 3-0

An exciting four more rounds are to be completed, with neither the battle for promotion or relegation settled as of yet.
