Magesi & Tuks Open Gap

Magesi and the University of Pretoria both won their games on the weekend to hold onto the top two positions in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Magesi beat third-placed Orbit College, with Tuks beat eighth-placed Casric Stars, as the race for promotion heats up with seven games to go.

There were important wins for Hungry Lions, JDR Stars and Maritzburg United, who all maintained their challenge for a top three spot with those victories.

At the bottom of the table, Platinum City Rovers moved off bottom spot as they beat Venda FC, which leaves Marumo Gallants, relegated from the DStv Premiership last season, in bottom place, as Milford also picked up a vital win.
