Maritzburg Surprisingly Part Ways With Dlala

Motsepe Foundation Championship side Maritzburg United has parted ways with midfielder Athenkosi Dlala.

Dlala had an impressive start to his career and he was labelled as one of the best upcoming midfielders in the country, having been developed by SuperSport United and represent the national team in all youth levels.

The 25-year-old has one Bafana Bafana senior cap under his name, making his debut in May 2015. Dlala had previous stints at University Of Pretoria, Baroka FC and Pretoria Callies.

At the beginning of the current he joined Maritzburg United and played all their matches this season so far.

Hence, his exit from the Team of the Choice comes as a surprise as he looked settled and like he was pulling the strings in midfield.

But according to the information received by iDiski Times, Dlala left the club on mutual agreement.

Maritzburg will continue their journey in the Motsepe Foundation Championship without him when they face on-form Hungry Lions FC on match day eight.
