Former Orlando Pirates defender Mthokozisi Dube is being assessed by Motsepe Foundation Championship side Maritzburg United, iDiskiTimes has learnt.
Dube has been without a club since leaving Royal AM at the end of last season after he only spent six months with the KwaZulu Natal-based side.
The 30-year-old was loaned out several times when he was a Pirates player, plying his trade at Bloemfontein Celtic and Lamontville Golden Arrows.
iDiskiTimes understands that Maritzburg United is assessing him as they look to boost their squad for the reminder of the season.
The Team of Choice recently roped in Pitso Dladla as the assistant coach to Simo Dladla for the reminder of the season.
After conceding 20 goals in 17 matches, United are looking to close the backdoor and keep their chances of getting back to the DStv Premiership.
