MFC Wrap: Mammila’s Baroka Suffer Heavy Defeat

Baroka FC remain winless this season after falling to a heavy 4-1 defeat away to Upington City in the Motsepe Foundation Championship on Saturday afternoon.

On Friday, there were 1-0 wins for both Casric Stars and Cape Town Spurs, over Highbury and Venda Football Club, respectively. Both goals were scored by former Stellenbosch products, Lelethu Skelem scoring for Casric, while Mervin Boji scored a stoppage-time penalty on debut for the Urban Warriors.

Leaders Milford FC kept their 100%-win record as they beat JDR Stars with a late Siphosethu Ndlabi goal on Saturday.

Kgomotso Mosadi scored the only goal of the match as University of Pretoria triumphed over Pretoria Callies in the Tshwane Derby.

Tsepo Matsimbi and Sedzani Mudau were on the scoresheet as Black Leopards beat Leruma United 2-0.

Keabetswe Rakosa grabbed a brace, with Bokang Mokwena and Tlotlo Leepile also scoring as Upington City hammered Bakgaga 4-1.

On Sunday, Thapelo Matlhoko scored a flamboyant goal for Kruger United, but Joslin Kamatuka found an equalizer for Durban City before the KwaZulu Natal side found the winner deep in the second half to grab all three points on the road.

Second-half goals from Kagiso Ndlovu and Ronaldo Van Neel was enough to see sealed the Hungry Lions grabbed maximum points against Orbit College.
