Official: Baroka Announce Major Mammila News

Baroka FC head coach Morgan Mammila has stepped down from his role after a dismal start to the 2024/25 Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Bakgaga are still without a win this campaign after being held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at home in their league opener against Orbit College before being hammered 4-1 by Upington City in their second match.

The former Chippa United mentor is said to have tendered his resignation on Friday afternoon, as per a statement issued by the club.

“Baroka football club would like to announce that head coach Morgan Mmamila has resigned from his position with immediate effect as of 06th September 2024.

“Coach Mmamila has been with the club during the PSL promotion play-offs and he was in charge of the first two games of our 2024/25 Motsepe Foundation Championship season.

“We wish coach Mammila all the best in his future endeavors.”

The club is yet to confirm who will take charge in the interim, with their next league clash against Hungry Lions in the Northern Cape on Saturday, 14 September.
