Former Chippa United head coach Daine Klate has landed a new club in the Premier Soccer League after being announced as new coach of La Masia.
Klate, 38, had his first stint as head coach with the Chilli Boys after replacing Kurt Lentjies before the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
However, his reign only lasted seven games, of which he won one against his former club Orlando Pirates, while losing four and drawing two.
He was replaced by Morgan Mammila on the sidelines after just seven games, with the latter lasting until the end of February, when he himself was replaced by Lentjies, as the Eastern Cape club went full circle.
Klate had been off the radar for a while after his surprise sacking by the club, but was introduced as one of the new Nedbank Cup ambassadors in April.
He has now taken up a new role and joined MFC side La Masia as head coach.
La Masia started the season with with two wins, two draws and three defeats.
They currently sit in ninth place on the MFC log and next face Casric Stars.
Klate replaces Delano Hendricks, who had led the team since the start of the season. Hendricks is believed to have returned to a TD role, which he also occupied when Sutton replaced him last season.
With Moeneeb Josephs already working as Goalkeeper Coach at La Masia, Klate reunites with his former Pirates and Bidvest Wits teammate.
