Veteran forward Ndumiso Mabena has joined Motsepe Foundation Championship side Leruma United, with ten games remaining this season.
The 37-year-old has been a free agent since parting ways with Polokwane City and has now been snapped up by the relegation threatened side.
United made their way into the second tier after buying the status of Marumo Gallants at the start of this season, after Gallants bought the top-flight status of Maroka Swallows.
Things haven’t gone quite to plan for both clubs, as they look to retain their statuses in their respective divisions.
But the move to lure Mabena, who comes well-travelled and highly experienced shows a signal of intent from Daveyton-based side.
He comes with 18 years of top-flight experience to the club, having played for the likes of Orlando Pirates, Platinum Stars, Bloemfontein Celtic, Royal AM before his stint with Rise and Shine.
