City-Pirates MTN8 Clash Postponed

The MTN8 semi-final first leg between Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates has been postponed due to the extreme weather conditions in Cape Town.

The match was supposed to kick off at 19:00 at DHL Stadium on Tuesday, but it has been postponed, iDiski Times can confirm.

The players have been informed of the decision and as of now, both clubs await confirmation from the league about the new date.

Strong winds and rain is forecasted for Tuesday evening, which has caused the Premier Soccer League to decide on postponing the game.

However, currently both clubs are awaiting on final confirmation from the league about the new date for the match, with Wednesday discussed as an alternative date.

There isn’t much breathing space in the calendar, as the second leg at Orlando Stadium is scheduled for 31 August, two days before the upcoming FIFA window starts.
