Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould has applauded his former side for acquiring the services of Thembela ‘Tera’ Maliwa as Head of Scouting and Recruitment.
Maliwa established himself at now defunct Ajax Cape Town and went on to work at Ajax Amsterdam, Heerenveen and recently Mamelodi Sundowns, who he left for Chiefs last month having spent seven years at Chloorkop.

He is credited for discovering among others Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana defender Rivaldo Coetzee.
Gould spoke to iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu in edition 170 of the newspaper where he applauded the move by the club, while also adding that Maliwa is going to add value at Naturena.
“Definitely, it’s one of those big moves,” Gould told iDiski Times.
“I get goosebumps when you speak about Tera because he’s done his work very silently. The more you do your work silently, the day they notice you, it’s nothing new.
“To Tera, it’s nothing new; he’s been doing it; he went to Amsterdam, he did his work, came back and helped a couple of teams, and was at Mamelodi Sundowns.
“What better way than to go to a team that really needs fresh blood and fresh ideas? Tera is going to come with that new energy and new breeding of players.
“So, I like what Kaizer Chiefs has done by acquiring the likes of Tera, and I know he will add value.”
