Orlando Pirates vice-captain Mbekezeli Mbokazi has admitted that the MTN8 semi-final first leg against Mamelodi Sundowns, was tough however thanked the coaches for coming up with a solution and the fans for not giving up on the team.
Teboho Mokoena broke the deadlock in the first half, but Kamogelo Sebelebele struck late to leave the tie nicely poised ahead of the second leg in Tshwane. This was a first positive result in three matches for the Buccaneers after two league losses leading up to the cup clash.

‘TLB’ wore who wore the armband in the first leg admitted it was a tough encounter.
“It was tough for us to compete today,” said Mbokazi on OP TV.
“The game was tough, but we tried to go out at halftime and coach and the technical team told us what to do to come back in the game. We came back and we fought because it wasn’t over, and we managed to score a goal to show our fighting spirit and working together.
“We are grateful to our supporters for what they have done, and we hope they will continue rallying behind us so that we can continue to win.
“Their support gave us hope that we’d be able to come back and equalise, thank you very much.”
