The Premier Soccer League have announced that Mbombela Stadium will host this year’s MTN8 final.
The new were confirmed during Wednesday draw of the home and away team at the PSL head quarters.
Meanwhile, the PSL confirmed Mbombela will host the first MTN8 final since 2016 when Bidvest Wits beat Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0.
Pirates have won three successive MTN8 finals and could make it an unprecedented fourth time in a row on 13 September.
The Buccaneers beat Mamelodi Sundowns 4-1 on penalties after both semi-finals had ended in a 1-1, while Stellenbosch eliminated Sekhukhune United 3-1 on aggregate to set up a replay of last season’s final when Pirates beat Stellies 3-1.
