Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has expressed his happiness that new Norwegian striker Sebastian Pedersen has arrived in the country.

Pedersen, 27, joined from Norwegian Sognal IF and was part of Pirates’ pre-season in Spain. However, from Spain he went back to his home country and only arrived in South Africa this week.

On Saturday, he was in the stands eSgodini as the Buccaneers saw off 10-men Durban City 2-1 thanks to a late Ghampani Lungu strike in extra-time.

With his side once again appearing wasteful, Ouaddou was asked whether the Norwegian striker could be the solution for Pirates’ woes in front of goal.

“It’s all the time a good news for, for coach to have to have a new player,” he stated.

“And he’s part is part of our strikers that we have already, and it’s a very good news for everybody.

“Everybody is impatient to, to see him, and yeah, he will be part of the, the competition among, among all the strikers that that we have.”
