Stellenbosch FC have have signed Nigerian defender Enyinnaya Kazie Godswill from Rivers United, who appears to be a replacement for Deano Van Rooyen.
Godswill, 25, is an experienced defender who has played in Nigeria for all of his career. He is a right-back who has represented Rivers United at the continental stages.
The 25-year-old has eight appearances in the CAF Champions League and 28 appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup. Overall, the former Kwara United defender has played over 170 games in his career.
iDiski Times understands that Stellenbosch signed Godswill, but the only thing that is left is for him to get his work permit so that he can fly into the country.
The Cape Winelands side lost Deano Van Rooyen to Orlando Pirates, and Godswill is set to compete with Kyle Jurgens who has been filling the right-back position since the departure of their co-captain.
