Mamelodi Sundowns‘ starting line-up for the MTN8 semi-final second leg against Orlando Pirates at Lucas Moripe Stadium has been confirmed.
These two sides locked horns in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final at Orlando Stadium, and after 90 minutes, they shared the spoils.
Sundowns started the season on a good note, managing three wins and two draws in the first five matches in all competitions.
Miguel Cardoso’s side is one of the sides that has managed the most goals so far this season after netting 10 goals in all competitions, including a 4-0 win over Richards Bay in the MTN8 quarter-final.
There has been a lot of drama off the field involving players like Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Khuliso Mudau who are linked with exits, but they will have to silence the noise, if they want to set themselves a place in the final.
A goalless draw or a win for Sundowns would send them into the final of the MTN8 and keep their chances of winning the trophy for only the second time in 15 years alive, while a scoring draw or away win sends Pirates into their fourth successive final.
