Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs have announced their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s MTN8 semi-final second leg clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
It’s been three weeks since Khuliso Mudau scored a late equaliser at FNB Stadium in the first leg of MTN8 semi final, to hand Masandawana an important away-goal advantage.
As a consequence, Rulani Mokwena’s side only need a goalless draw or a win to advance to the next stage of the tournament, but Downs will be missing Mudau and Mothobi Mvala due to suspensions.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi know that if they don’t score in the capital city it will be the end of their road.
Molefe Ntseki aims to end the eight-year trophy drought and after their 1-0 defeat against SuperSport United at Peter Mokaba Stadium in the DStv Premiership the pressure is mounting on the side.
The last time Amakhosi beat Sundowns in Pretoria was in 2021 when they won 2-1, but Downs have won five matches of their seven clashes since, with two ending in draws.
